Dress Code Information
Proper attire must be worn for each class. This includes:
-- Black leotard
-- Pink ballet tights
-- “Booty” shorts (optional)
-- Appropriate shoes for each class
The Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday high school classes may wear any solid color leotard, black “booty” shorts, tan or pink transition tights worn over the feet, and/or RSD leggings (if not doing pointe).
Dancers in junior level classes and above are welcome to wear RSD leggings with a black leotard to class. RSD leggings can be ordered at registration. If you are unsure whether your dancer is at this level, you are welcome to ask his/her instructor. Feel free to email Miss Robin (rsdf.business@gmail.com) with any questions.
Correct shoes are necessary for proper instruction and learning. RSD requires pink (leather or canvas) ballet shoes, black jazz shoes, black patent Mary Jane taps for younger dancers, and black lace-up tap shoes for older dancers. Clean sneakers can be worn for hip hop classes.
Hair must be secured away from face. It can be distracting to the dancer if their ponytail is falling out, hair is only half up, or hair is down.
Boys must wear black sweatpants or shorts and a white t-shirt/tank for ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater. Boys may wear any clothing for hip-hop.
Tumblers may wear any leotard to class and must have bare feet.
**Please note that if the dress code is not followed,
dancers will be asked to leave and return with proper attire.**
